JAMES G. ROSS, MAJOR USMC, 1955 - 2007
James G. Ross, Major USMC, age 51, of Milton, Florida, passed away in a motorcycle accident Wednesday morning, August 29, 2007, in North Santa Rosa County.
Born December 6, 1955, in Atlantic City, NJ, he retired here from the U.S. Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot. James was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, taught at Northview High School, where he coached cross country, was a marathon runner and member of Pensacola Running Association, a member of the Marine Corps League and a radio talk show host at WEBY.
Mr. Ross is preceded in death by his parents, George James and Mary C. Ross; and his wife, Jumni Ross. Survivors include his son, Charles Aaron Ross; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ross; brother, Nick Ross; and sister, Susan J. Wood.
Jim was blessed by salvation in Jesus Christ. Visitation will be Tuesday, September, 4, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Donnie Sowell Funeral Home, 5641 Highway 90-W, Milton. A private memorial service will be held. DONNIE SOWELL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
