MYRON C. HORN, USN, 1958 - 2025
Myron Carroll Horn, 66, of Sykesville, died Friday, March 7. 2025 at his home. Born April 27, 1958 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Oliver Ted and Gladys Elizabeth Hoover Horn. He was the husband of Pamela Ann Horn (Wilcox). They had been married for 35 years. Myron had retired from the federal government working in security with over 35 years’ service. He had formerly worked at 3 Mile Island. He was a Navy veteran. He had a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Penn State and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore. He was a devoted member of the Freedom District Lions Club. He served the Lions in many capacities over the years. He was the proud recipient of the Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow Award which means he won the highest award given to a Lion, twice. He was a member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a fan of Steelers and Nittany Lions football. In his younger days he enjoyed anything outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping and target shooting. He was also an American military history enthusiast and enjoyed John Wayne movies. In addition to his wife Pam, Myron is survived by daughter Jessica Ann Millican and her husband James and son Patrick James Horn. He was preceded in death by brother Dana Darrell Horn. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 10:30 AM at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home in Eldersburg, MD with his Pastor Rev. Steven Cho, officiating. Interment will follow in Upper Strasburg Cemetery in Greencastle, PA. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
